This is the first photograph I have taken of Rushmere Pond in Wimbledon Village for sometime, it’s actually been a few years since my last landscape of the area. The photograph is titled, ‘Rain rings on Rushmere’ and was photographed at about 9pm on Monday 23rd May, 2016.

It has been noted that some people recognise my work as my Photographs tend to feature dramatic skies, this image is no exception. The rain pelted down for sometime and had it not been for an umbrella my camera would more than likely have shut down, as no matter what I did to protect it, it was absolutely saturated.

The thrill of capturing an image like this is still what makes me tick. As the  rain eased off I managed to capture this very dramatic image, handheld at 1/20th second.
